Dear newcomers

We are pleased to welcome you as a resident of Baden. You have a lot to organise upon arrival. It’s important to us that you get the information you need.

When you register at the Stadtbüro (City Office), you will be given a welcome package with various brochures, information leaflets and vouchers. In Switzerland, all persons living within a radius of 50 km from Swiss nuclear power plants receive a free pack of iodine tablets. You can also obtain the coupon at the City Office. You can also find a lot of important information in 13 different languages for a good start at your new place of residence at www.hallo-aargau.ch.

Have you changed your address by using eUmzug? You will receive a confirmation letter within the next few days by mail.

Welcome meeting

If you have just moved to Baden from abroad, not yet speaking German, we would like to welcome you to a small reception (duration appr. one hour). On this occasion, we would like to inform you in your mother tongue about the most important offers regarding integration and answer questions you might have regarding your everyday life in Baden. In case you are interested, please sign up online.

Evening for new residents

Every a year, we organise two evenings for new residents with a special programm. This relaxed get-together is not only a great chance to meet your new neighbours but also to learn more about Baden’s social and cultural life. You will receive a written invitation to the event.
