Linking and developing strong competencies
Thanks to close networking, the business, development, science and education sectors in Baden generate innovation in cooperation with the public sector. Highly attractive infrastructure, an urban environment and short distances create a working environment for Industry 4.0 that is unique in Switzerland.
The Baden 4.0 initiative launched in August 2023 by more than 30 partners from business, research, development, education and the public sector will clarify the feasibility of various implementation measures to increase the speed of innovation.
Improved networking - also between SMEs and large companies - should enable needs to be identified more quickly and solutions to be developed through short and uncomplicated channels. The synergies in Baden's key sectors - high-tech energy / electrical engineering, medtech, healthcare and industry-related ICT - are to be further expanded with the Baden 4.0 project. The overall management of Baden 4.0 lies with the City of Baden's Business Contact Centre.
Launch of Baden 4.0
To further promote the business location, around 40 decision-makers from Baden and the region have discussed a comprehensive range of options for increasing the speed of innovation and strengthening the clustering in Baden’s key sectors of high-tech energy/electrical engineering, MedTech, healthcare and industry-related ICT.
The main insight is that there is great potential to be found in linking the internationally highly sought-after competencies of the region’s companies and workers from each of Baden’s key sector – something that has been neglected for all too long. Members of Baden’s various economic sectors and of the public sector have therefore decided to join together in a public-private partnership and enact a set of suitable measures.
The focus is on promoting information sharing along the value chain. This package of measures has been implemented step by step in a public-private partnership since autumn 2023.
