The Kunstraum Baden sets trends and gives art a big presence. Shooting stars, newcomers and old masters are shown in monographic or thematic projects. These projects are developed specifically for the location by the artists in close cooperation with the management of the Kunstraum, and cover the entire range of what art can and should be. Whether conventional or experimental, affirmative or critical, political and social or simply formal – the Kunstraum aims to make art accessible and stimulate people’s interest in engaging with it.
For around four decades, the city of Baden has been operating its own, non-commercial exhibition space. During this time, the institution, which was initially located in the “Kornhaus” granary and then in the Amtshimmel, has become a small art gallery. Nowadays, the Kunstraum is a stone’s throw away from the train station in a former factory building of the Baden regional power plant.
The Kunstraum is a former factory building and is a mere one-minute walk from the Baden West train station.
Admission is free.
